funeral ceremonies A Celebration of a Life Lost

Hi, I'm Anita

I am a funeral celebrant based in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. I'm here to help you arrange a funeral service exactly the way you want it!

At some point during our lives, we will experience the pain of losing a loved one. Death certainly comes to us all, and now that you are reading this, it means this has now come to you.

Losing a loved one is undeniably tough. Rest assured that I am here for you and your family every step of the way. I will be a safe pair of hands to help you and guide you through these heart-wrenching times.

Together, we can decide on the details of the funeral service. Celebrant-led funeral services can be held traditionally at the crematorium, burial ground, or an alternative setting at a venue of your choice. Moreover, the funeral service doesn’t have to be the ‘traditional’ ceremony we have always had. It can be as different as you want it to be, and alternative settings for funerals are becoming more and more popular.

Feel free to contact me directly or through a funeral director - Anita Scott Funeral Celebrant, based in Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire.

Writing The Funeral Service

Writing The Funeral Service

Every funeral ceremony I craft captures the true essence and personality of your loved one. Together, we will eloquently narrate their story as it deserves to be told. Their narrative can be shared in the traditional way, either in a crematorium, at a burial site, or in a venue of your choosing.

We can infuse some personal touches, such as inviting someone to read the eulogy, play an instrument, or even sing. Whatever vision you have for the funeral service, together we can bring it to fruition, making losing a loved one a little more bearable. There are numerous choices available to you, and all too often, people are simply unaware of these options! See My Funeral Fees

I will initially send over a questionnaire - this will set the foundations of our service. Don't worry if you find it emotionally too hard to cope with, I can go through it with you in person if that is easier for you.

Next we have a meeting and start to plan what the service/celebration of life looks like. Lots of notes will be taken as I gather as much information as I can to ensure that we capture your persons personality to a tee. You will also be asked for any music you want and if there is anyone who would like to speak.

I will then write a ceremony and arrange a convenient time for me to read it to you. This is the stage where we can make any alterations you feel are necessary.

After the ceremony you will be given a copy of the script to keep and look back on with a smile.

I will call you a couple of weeks after the service and send a little card with a note on the first anniversary.
