Writing The Funeral Service

Writing The Funeral Service

Every funeral ceremony I craft captures the true essence and personality of your loved one. By working together, we will narrate their story in a way that truly honors their life. The memory of your person can be shared in a traditional setting, such as a crematorium or burial site. Alternatively, in a more personal venue of your choosing.

To make the service even more meaningful, we can incorporate personal touches that reflect their unique spirit. For instance, you might wish to invite a family member or friend to deliver a heartfelt eulogy. Additionally, you have a musician who could play a special piece? Or even include a song that holds deep significance. No matter what your wishes are, together we can bring it to fruition. As a 'team' we will create a service that provides comfort and a sense of closure during this difficult time.

It’s important to remember that you have options. Many people are unaware of the flexibility available when planning a funeral service. There are countless ways to make it truly personal and special. If you’d like to explore these possibilities, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I will initially send over a questionnaire - this will set the foundations of our service. Don't worry if you find it emotionally too hard to cope with, I can go through it with you in person if that is easier for you.

Next, we have a meeting and start to plan what the service/celebration of life will look like. During this meeting, lots of notes will be taken as I gather as much information as I can to ensure that we capture your person’s personality to a tee. Additionally, you will also be asked for any music you want and if there is anyone who would like to speak.

Once we have met, I will then write a ceremony and arrange a convenient time for me to read it to you. This is the stage where we can make any alterations you feel are necessary.

I will call you a couple of weeks after the service and send a little card with a note on the first anniversary.
